Fresher Resume With No Experience: What to Put Instead

Change the order first

An experienced candidate leads with Experience. You lead with what proves you can do the work. For most freshers that order is:

• Contact — name, phone, email, city, LinkedIn, GitHub or portfolio
• Summary — two lines, specific, no adjectives
• Education — degree, college, year, CGPA if it helps you
• Projects — two or three, with outcomes
• Skills — grouped, honest
• Internships / training — if any, even short ones
• Achievements and positions of responsibility — the section most freshers skip and shouldn't

What counts as experience when you have none

Recruiters hiring freshers are looking for signals that you can finish things and work with other people. All of these carry that signal:

• Final-year and mini projects, especially ones with real users
• Internships, including unpaid and remote ones
• Freelance or family-business work — 'built a billing sheet that my father's shop still uses' is real work
• Open-source contributions, however small
• College fest organising, club leadership, NSS/NCC roles — these prove coordination
• Competitive programming ratings, hackathon placements, Kaggle rankings
• Teaching: tuitions, peer mentoring, TA work

Write projects like work, not like homework

The difference between a project bullet that works and one that doesn't is whether it mentions a result or a constraint you handled.

The summary that doesn't sound like everyone else's

Delete 'seeking a challenging position in a reputed organisation where I can utilise my skills'. Every fresher resume in the pile has that sentence. Write what you can do and what you want to do instead.

One page, and what to do if it won't fit

A fresher resume is one page. If it's spilling over, the cause is almost always a long skills list or school details. Cut 10th and 12th marks unless you're applying somewhere that asks for them, and trim skills to what you'd be happy being tested on.
